Quantum Signature...Given by the Creator of it!

Fascinating is that each one of us and every living, every created thing has a quantum signature - quantum code, an identifing cosmic thread of information. Can it be reproduced by man? Not likely, though he may attempt thinking he is God. We cannot download minds, or upload our bodies with minds from a time when they were alive and think that it will be the same person. Because, there is a quantum signature for each and it cannot be reproduced by just 'man'

Why? Because, the quantum signature of every created thing was created by something much bigger than the creation; certainly, one can imagine a super computer an Alpha and Omega, an infinite creative entity (un-created) that is the beginning and the end. In that super knowledge,  each and every created thing is complete. Man has no such knowledge, nor can he ever have in this fallen world, this corrupted state of being - decay = entropy.

Yes, we can read about quantum digital signatures (encoded coherent states of light) used in quantum computer security programming offering a means of sending a message from one computer to another which cannot be forged or repudiated, with security verified by information-theoretical limits and quantum mechanics.

Is that therefore suggestive of a possible means of transferring man's quantum information, man's DNA code, his quantum signature? Well, one may debate that its possible if one has all the information that man is. Of course, the physiology of man in coded form could be transferred somehow at least we imagine that as played out in Hollywood. But, what about who man is as a man in his social context, I/Me/We? That is the kind of information that tells us who a man or woman really is.

It is that kind of information that the Creator has access to, not man. For any man to think he can know let alone upload his quantum signature without death of this flesh is mistaken and will find him/herself in the dark loop of a corrupted state of being.

All things were created through Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.…Colossians 1:16.

Godless Universe ~Really?

All scientists and theologians can do is mount their best possible arguments and try to convince each other and everyone else what caused the universe we perceive to be out there. That's right, perceive. As a sociologist, that is all man does - perceive his reality which is a social reality.

Man takes in information, processes it and through social interaction concludes what it is likely to be; but, not absolutely as man cannot know anything absolutely. Through experience, social experience in a place, man can and does perceive himself and the world round him/her and his/her place in it. We come to conclusions as to what is and what is not and what it means. Yes, meaning is everything and it usurps just about anything you or I can consider as concretely real. It means that when you or I perceive something to be real it happens only through social interaction. In that condition, what we gain in perception we also gain in meaning. When something has meaning and it does only because of social dynamics at work in social interaction, then it becomes something concrete in our mind. It has shape!

For us, the only time it changes shape is when we have additional social interactions whereby social dynamics (subordination/domination) change and we conclude different meaning and when that happens, the shape of something in our mind changes.

This is true for all human groups. That is why the shape of something even something abstract like 'freedom' has a different shape for you and different for me (if we are of different groups) and or any other person outside of one group and or from another. This is true for all things, all ideas and beliefs. Science is only agreement reality and one can say the same about having a Creator.

What we can all agree on is that both science and believers in a God Creator require information; and, that such information has an absolute point of departure 'source' or what we have to conclude which is its existence. If information is treated as real, it has a source. Man does not think of something without social interaction and in our social interaction we find who we are and are not. Why do that at all? That is the question. If we were just plants or lower life forms, we would not ask that kind of question. But, we are not such life forms. Why should we be such life forms, the kind that asks questions? If this were a world organized by itself it would not need anything higher than itself to continue its organization.

It can be argued that man is not higher than a self organizing universe and if that is the case, then man would be a mere animal... so, why does he seek to know his place in the universe? This means that the universe is much more than just a cosmos. If it were, man as we know him/her would not be necessary in such a universe asking questions.

Our perceiving can be argued as just demonstrated concerning 'perception'. But, fundamentally, information has a source. We cannot always pinpoint the source but we know it exists necessarily; otherwise we would not seek its source nor would we be able to. Which leads us to perception of God the Creator. So many ask if God created the universe then who created God.

A number of skeptics ask this question. But God by definition is the uncreated creator of the universe, so the question ‘Who created God?’ is illogical. So, a more sophisticated questioner might ask: ‘If the universe needs a cause, then why doesn’t God need a cause? And if God doesn’t need a cause, why should the universe need a cause?’ In reply, people and especially Christians should use the following reasoning:
  1. Everything which has a beginning has a cause.
  2. The universe has a beginning.
  3. Therefore the universe has a cause.
The universe requires a cause because it had a beginning. God, unlike the universe, had no beginning, so doesn’t need a cause. Taking a look at Einstein’s general relativity, which has much experimental support, shows that time is linked to matter and space. In that theory, we come to the understanding through perception that time along with matter and space have a beginning. Since God, by definition, is the creator of the whole universe, he is the creator of time. Therefore He is not limited by the time dimension He created, so has no beginning in time...therefore He doesn’t have a cause.

In contrast, there is good evidence that the universe had a beginning. This can be shown from the Laws of Thermodynamics, the most fundamental laws of the physical sciences.

  • 1st Law: The total amount of mass-energy in the universe is constant.
  • 2nd Law: The amount of energy available for work is running out, or entropy is increasing to a maximum.
If the total amount of mass-energy is limited, and the amount of usable energy is decreasing, then the universe cannot have existed forever, otherwise it would already have exhausted all usable energy—the ‘heat death’ of the universe. For example, all radioactive atoms would have decayed, every part of the universe would be the same temperature, and no further work would be possible. So the obvious corollary is that the universe began a finite time ago with a lot of usable energy, and is now running down.

Now, what if the questioner accepts that the universe had a beginning, but not that it needs a cause? But it is self-evident that things that begin have a cause—no-one really denies it in his mind. Why? Because, we as created beings understand fundamentally that we were caused to be.  All science and history would collapse if this law of cause and effect were denied. So would all law enforcement, if the police didn’t think they needed to find a cause for a stabbed body or a burgled house. Also, the universe cannot be self-caused—nothing can create itself, because that would mean that it existed before it came into existence, which is a logical absurdity.

As a sociologist, this is the one truth that most scientists ignore and that is if cause and effect were denied, then all information has no source and has no meaning. But, you say that man gives meaning. I am not saying he does not... but his/her idea of what something means is acquired through social interaction which has a source as Einstein said, There is no such thing as no thing."  That means that someone/thing is providing us with information. The Creator designed the program and its up and running. All we have to do is follow and be steadfast. In this way, we can be saved as in uploaded... if the program rejects the creator, then why should the creator keep it. It would likely be considered a corrupt program and be permanently deleted.

The Song of Trust in God's Provision ~ "The steadfast of mind You will keep in perfect peace, Because he trusts in You" ~ Isaiah 26:4.

There is no Reality Nor Quantum Reality Outside of the Creator!

Albert Einstein, who is often dishonestly characterized as having been an atheist, agreed that God-denial is foolishness. He once said of non-believers: “The fanatical atheists are like slaves who are still feeling the weight of their chains which they have thrown off after hard struggle. They are creatures who – in their grudge against traditional religion as the ‘opium of the masses’ – cannot hear the music of the spheres.”

“I’m not an atheist,” added Einstein. “The problem involved is too vast for our limited minds. We are in the position of a little child entering a huge library filled with books in many languages. The child knows someone must have written those books. It does not know how. It does not understand the languages in which they are written. The child dimly suspects a mysterious order in the arrangement of the books but doesn’t know what it is. That, it seems to me, is the attitude of even the most intelligent human being toward God. We see the universe marvelously arranged and obeying certain laws but only dimly understand these laws.” ~ An excerpt from article by Matt Barber, titled "Big Bang Blows Atheism Sky High..." - April 26, 2016.

In Romans 1:20, “For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.”

Illustrious NASA scientist (and agnostic) Dr. Robert Jastrow (1925-2008) put it this way: “For the scientist who has lived by his faith in the power of reason, the story ends like a bad dream. How? As he scaled the mountain of ignorance and was about to conquer the highest peak pulling himself over the final rock, he is greeted by a band of theologians who have been sitting there for centuries.”

One can see that the mountain is the same for both...a  mountain of ignorance. Both meet at the top and both thinking they made it using their know-how their knowledge. What it means is exactly what Einstein said,  “The problem involved is too vast for our limited minds. We see the universe marvelously arranged and obeying certain laws but only dimly understand these laws.”

As Einstein also said, "there is no such thing as no thing" As the young child understands, things come from something. There is a Creator, can we understand the Creator in his entirety? No more than an ant could understand us if we picked it up and held it gently in our hand.

The Bible tells us, those that do not have the mind of a child will not enter heaven. And he said: "Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven" ~ Matthew 18:3.

*"Therefore everyone who confesses Me before men, I will also confess him before My Father who is in heaven. "But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven ~ Matthew 10:32-33. "If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" ~ Romans 10:9.

Creation vs Evolution in the Social Quantum Imagination ~ What makes us Human?

It is interesting to imagine a group of scientists sitting around discussing life and or the cosmos and its origin with the background being or setting being their office or in the lab, or chatting at their computers ...with their gray brain material visible housed in a skeleton..or perhaps with no clothes, just the bare and even gross physical attributes of the flesh that we call human. Would anyone looking at this scene believe that what they were doing, thinking was remotely important or true? I doubt it.

So what makes us human? Isn't it what is housed in the brain, the mind. The mind is something we cannot see nor will we ever see it. Yet, somehow it arose out of nothing, out of perhaps our imagination. After all, we imagine that from a simple organism comes complexity. Doesn't anyone know that for even a simple organism to exist it needs a complex system. Who put the complex system there? Some argue a random event caused 'nature' and it was nature that evolved(s) and became complex. Really, why would it? What would encourage that, direct it even nature to move forward or be what liberals like to call progressive?

The real concern should be where is this information coming from, this information that directed nature, directed human beings to arrive on the scene or even for that matter the smallest of mindless grubs? Why should man have a mind? Why not everything else including carrots or a tree or the wind?

Information has a source. Information does not just pop out of thin air and even thin air has information that describes what it is and directs where it goes. It was informed. And, I highly doubt that I came to be in any other way. Now, you are back to nature and evolution. That it informs. Really, what informs it to be and to act? Now, you argue that it just is/does and don't I read books, don't I know science. Sure, I know science.

It exists in the mind of men! And, who put it there? Who informed them? It just evolved so you say. What for? Nothing happens without reason in a logical world... after all you say it is by evolution and evolution is a forward progress, right? You suppose evolution has a forward direction and that supposes some kind of logic in its information. Whose information? By what design is such information?

Did you know that electron,s in the Niels Bohr model of the atom, can only behave in classical motion? Which means that electrons orbit the nucleus of the atom as the earth orbits the sun. Because of that, electrons can only orbit stably, without radiating, in certain orbits at a certain discrete set of distances from the nucleus.  Just as the earth can only remain stable at the distance it is from the sun.

Fascinating is the behavior of electrons which can jump  from one allowed orbit to another without changing the classical model of the atom's orbit. The significance of the Bohr model is that the laws of classical mechanics apply to the motion of the electron about the nucleus only when restricted by a quantum rule.

Even more fascinating, is when we retreat to our imagining the scientists discussing this using their gray material...and you say it just evolved that way. I could agree to that but what directed it to do so?

How to Deal with Uncertainity in the Social Imagination

What is always uncertain in the social imagination is the actual continuity of it, its longevity, its eternal state. Men seek to know it for they are uncertain that there is an eternal guarantee or maybe they just reject its elusive but obvious eternal guarantee; it just being a 'matter' of choice. Talking about matter, it is elusive especially when we come to understand it in terms of quantum mechanics as the accuracy of experimental measurement is limited. Why, because energy on very tiny brief scale sis popping in and out existence ~ W. Heisenberg.

In 1927, Werner Heisenberg showed that the laws of quantum mechanics unavoidably limit the accuracy of experimental measurements. This limitation has nothing to do with how well an experiment is designed, or how accurate are the instruments used; it reflects a fundamental aspect of reality itself. Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle stats that it is not possible to measure simultaneously both the momentum (mass x velocity) and the position of a particle with whatever accuracy we might wish.

There is always some error or uncertainty associated with any measurement of position, and also some uncertainty associate with any measurement of momentum. What Heisenberg discovered is that these two uncertainties are unavoidably linked together. The more accurately we try to measure the position of an electron, the more uncertain becomes our knowledge of its momentum and vice versa. When masses and dimensions have values above the atomic scale, the effects of the uncertainty principle are totally negligible. They become very significant, however, with masses and dimensions at the atomic scale. There is a limit to how close nature allows us to get! ~ M. Raspanti "The Virtual Universe..." 2000 - Chapter 9.

There is always some uncertainty associate with any measurement man can make, even man's computers. After all, there were programmed by him. But, even if they could make more accurate measurements, would we be able to understand it? That being said, can man truly understand the universe in this limited way... either limited by his own ability or limited by the truth of it proclaimed by a higher mind than his.

This is and will always be an aspect of man's mind... The social imagination is limited. I wrote about this in my doctoral dissertation on the subject of Imagination Ideal Society: Explored in the Social Imagination, through conversations on what can be an ideal society in the Occident mind. We are limited physically and in the social imagination which is embedded in a temporal corrupted 'fallen' world. I say this as the state of the universe is in a state of decay. How can we know what actually is in a pure state of being as it decays before us. We too observe this about ourselves and it is troubling. As social psychologist Alfred Schutz recognized, our troubling is steeped in the fundamental anxiety which is the fear of death.

How to deal with uncertainty in the Social Imagination. Is there way to overcome this world? Absolutely ~ Our Lord Jesus Christ. "Who is the one who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God" 1 John 5:5. He who is the Creator of Heaven and Earth and all things in it. "When they heard this, they raised their voices together in prayer to God. "Sovereign Lord," they said, "you made the heavens and the earth and the sea, and everything in them" ~ Acts 4:24.

Dimensional Capacities of Created Beings ~ Finally Thinking Outside the Box!

Interesting isn't that 20 years ago, Dr. Hugh Ross wrote "Beyond the Cosmos". Here we are twenty years later and still people grope in the dark about our true nature, created beings with dimensional capacities.  According to Dr. Ross, an exceptional apologist besides being a PhD in astronomy, recognizes that human dimensional capacities are by God's design but not at the level that God, the Creator, is able to have and to sustain. His ways are higher than our ways. "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts" ~ Isaiah 55:9.

In the chapter titled - Dimensional Capacities of Created Beings, Ross informs us of humans capacities. Reading page 118, we learn that humans are soulish creatures endowed with self-awareness and God awareness, innate moral and ethical standards and a proclivity for religious expression and exploration. Humans exist in God's given (to/for man) space and time dimension of the universe and yet He also gave man the capacity to venture beyond that given through an additional dimension - a spiritual reality (established in man's awareness of God) which allows man to go beyond the given temporal dimensions of  his temporal existence. Yes, men are subject to natural laws, social laws, and spiritual laws but the later only if he answers God's calling to that higher dimension (Ross: pg. 118).

The dimensional capacities are our ability to think outside the box of the visible physical world, to imagine and to see beyond what is. How else could we observe and understand the quantum reality? For many, the greatest obstacle to accepting our Creator is a lack of understanding dimensional aspects of time and space.  Many tend to live and perceive the world from a universe zipped up in a sleeping bag. For them, even if they were to tumble down a hill inside of it, they would not be able to consider that there is something outside of it as they hit a bump or two as they roll down. It is the built in dimensional capacities that Ross impresses in his book that reveals man's ability to think outside the box and or sleeping bag.

The difficulty for some people to think outside the box is due to their rejecting what is written in their default mode. One can imagine that any robot man creates will have the desire to know its creator and to either reach out to him or to reject him. The rejecting comes from the inability to understand the dimensional aspect of creation. If I am me, then how did I get here and from where... ? And, though that is written in us, there is also given free will which can be understood as an AI being a fully functioning creation with dimensional capacities so that the creator does not have to continually reboot, upgrade and write new commands daily.

This kind of contemplation is  not new. Today, one can use computer programming to describe our imagining a relationship with our Creator. Aristotle called Him the prime mover as a Creator who creates outside of what He himself, the Creator is. Plato too reasoned that since all time dependent phenomena are temporal then to some degree they must be illusory and valueless, for only what is timeless and unchanging and eternal retains ultimate reality and value (Ross: pg. 43)

It is time and space that most often comes up in such discussions, as in our temporal world, it seems that they control everything that happens to us. It is because we have a limited perspective of time and space in this dimension. Time is defined by the operation of cause and effect. Again, because we have limited dimensional capacities, we cannot understand that there is connection between time and space and our dimensional capacities to imagine beyond them. If were so embedded in just a 3D reality, then we would not even imagine a 4th or its existence which is the space of our moving in time. We imagine today at least 10 dimensions that is only because we have already dimensional capacities... the first being to think outside the box.

Christ was the patch to remind us that there is a higher realm waiting for us. Dr. Ross proposes that there will be multiple time dimensional experiences that God has in store for our unending timeful life with Him (Ross: pg. 67). It is a choice... rejecting the Creator's offer only leads to permanent deletion.

More than just a Sentient Being!

Man is not just a 'sentient' being... he is more than that. If we are sentients at all. Given that we are information housed and executed in/from the locus of the mind - Charles H. Cooley. As information we are the biggest consumers of information, selected on the basis of what it means to us, not by our senses...though our senses are an aspect of our being. The most amazing aspect of the social imagination is that it is curious, not just a 'responder' to elements. We are able to contemplate the cosmos which is information and we exchange that information which gives us meaning about who we are and our position in the universe. We are information and we exchange information, freely. This is the full understanding of the 'social imagination'. The exchange of information and what it means to us has a greater impact on our senses as it shapes and changes what/ how we see, smell and taste!

Man is a composition of information. That effectively makes him an avatar, information in the flesh but not to be controlled by it. Yes, that is man's problem. He thinks more of the flesh than the kingdom within. He is more than a sentient being, a creature that perceives the world through senses. And, what are they? Means of taking information. Yes and no. How much of what is taken in is actually what it seems to be at 'face value'. An apple or orange is just an object until it is smelled, it is touched and tasted. But, even then what does it mean. It may only mean food to the mere animal but to man it means much more. The way it smells, feels and tastes - the entire experience of it for the man provides meaning in time and space.

Man also remembers the experience of consumption differently from the mere animal. For example, he may have had his first smell, tough and taste with a friend on a sunny day from his grandmother's tree or while walking along a country road in the late fall. Many foods have become symbols for circulating information that has nothing to do with the object as a thing to be consumed. The apple is a symbol of fertility, a symbol of intellect and curiosity. For that reason, as a symbol, it has sold a lot of merchandise. Animals, other kinds of 'sentient' beings don't have such experience with food that we as humans could ever understand. We might assume they have some preferences when it comes to taste, sweet or sour but likely that is all.

Man has yet to realize his potential. He keeps looking to the cosmos of outer space and fails to look inwards and within his sphere of interaction ~ the social imagination. Within that alone, there is an enormous quantum field of potentiality. Man is far more than a sentient being, he is no mere animal.

*In this illustration, there is no intent to denigrate sentient beings... only to recognize man's uniqueness.
